ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
Vietnam's tourism and hospitality sector is booming, and it is short of people to run it. International arrivals are climbing every year, new hotels and resorts are opening across the country, and the industry itself says its biggest gap is at management level, not entry level. This programme is built to put you into that gap.
You will develop a well-rounded understanding of both hospitality and tourism, covering customer experience, marketing, technology, data analysis and sustainable destination management. Strong industry partnerships give you real work experience alongside your studies, so you graduate ready for a management track rather than an entry-level queue.
YOUR LEARNING PATH
This module will equip students with a greater ability to communicate through writing, and speaking, as well as enhance their receptive skills with reading and listening. Overall, students will learn key foundational skills in academic English and develop a greater ability to use English in both formal and informal settings. The aim of this course is to build a strong foundation for students to extend towards more specialist, academic forms of English usage and comprehension.
This is a foundation module intended to provide students with an introduction to a wide range of necessary study and personal skills, including ideation and creativity, effective study, stress and health management, teamwork and collaboration, personal branding, and career development.
Students will gain an introduction to the basics of business management, participate in 3–hour sessions 3 times per week for 5 weeks with weekly assessment. After learning this module, sudents will be able to apply knowledge on business and management principles suitable for further study day, and to demonstrate understanding of the key contemporary business concepts, as well as to gain the ability to analyse the business external environment.
This is a foundation module intended to provide students with a clear overview of principles of academic Integrity, forms of assessment, academic writing, presentations, structure, clarity, and methods of argumentation and coherent expression. The module will be delivered in 3–hour sessions comprising both traditional lecturing with group work, practical exercises, and in–class assessment and knowledge checks.
These Vietnamese modules: (1) are applicable to Vietnamese students only, (2) are taught and studied in Vietnamese by an outsourced provider, (3) are non-credit bearing modules in the final transcript, (4) of which successful completion is a condition of graduation.

YOUR QUALIFICATION
Tracing its history to 1824, Manchester Metropolitan University balances a 200–year heritage with a modern approach to accessible higher education, and holds Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework for its student experience.
All majors at BUV require completion of a foundation/pathway programme beforehand. The only exception is for students on certain international curricula who meet the partner university's required scores for exemption; such cases are assessed individually by the Academic Affairs team.
The university requires completion of high school (Grade 12), but does not set any minimum grade requirement.
Yes, but the change must be made before July of the intake year. Changes requested after this date incur a programme-change fee of VND 2,000,000, payable to the university.
BUV follows the UK education system, so a Vietnamese high school diploma is not mandatory. Applicants must instead demonstrate completion of the equivalent of Grade 12, which can be shown through any of the following BUV-accepted qualifications:
All special cases require approval from the university's Academic Affairs department and depend on the specific programme and degree-awarding partner, so your child can submit their existing qualifications for the Admissions team to advise on the most suitable pathway.
