ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
This BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance degree at BUV is awarded by the University of London – one of the oldest and largest universities in the UK – and is designed for students interested in careers in accounting, finance and corporate finance. The programme is developed and its examinations are set and graded by the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
YOUR LEARNING PATH
This course is designed to introduce students to basic economic reasoning and analysis and provide a firm foundation for further economic and financial modules. You will be able to define the main economic concepts and describe the models used in economic analysis, and apply economic models to real–world issues and events while understanding the limitations of the models in economic analysis.
This course is designed to enable students to acquire the requisite skills in the methods of calculus (including multivariate calculus) and linear algebra which will be applied in further economic and financial models. You will be instructed in the mathematical concepts, terminology, methods and conventions required for solving unseen problems, and how these mathematical techniques can be applied in an interdisciplinary manner.
This course is about the application of statistical methods in economics and finance. Students will become familiar with the key ideas of statistics and probability, and be able to routinely apply a variety of methods for explaining, summarising and presenting data. Interpreting statistical results and drawing inference from them is also a crucial aim of the course.
This introductory course provides a foundation for financial accounting and financial management, as well as for management accounting. The aim is to provide a broad understanding of accounting both for non-specialist students as well as for those intending to continue with further accountancy studies at a later stage in their degree or in professional examinations. The course examines the basic principles and underlying concepts, and the manner in which financial statements and information can be utilised to enhance decision making by both managers and investors. Students will learn how to distinguish between the different uses of financial information, and how to recognise the limitation of financial statements.
DISTINCTIVE EXPERIENCE
The programme equips students with the required analytical tools and skills necessary for a career in accountancy or auditing, with rigorous modules analysing all modern approaches to accounting, finance and investment decision making.

YOUR QUALIFICATION
Founded in 1836, University of London is one of the oldest universities in the UK, a federal university uniting a family of distinguished member institutions. Through its International Programmes, students worldwide earn a University of London degree held to the same academic standard as on campus, and recognised internationally.
All majors at BUV require completion of a foundation/pathway programme beforehand. The only exception is for students on certain international curricula who meet the partner university's required scores for exemption; such cases are assessed individually by the Academic Affairs team.
The university requires completion of high school (Grade 12), but does not set any minimum grade requirement.
Yes, but the change must be made before July of the intake year. Changes requested after this date incur a programme-change fee of VND 2,000,000, payable to the university.
BUV follows the UK education system, so a Vietnamese high school diploma is not mandatory. Applicants must instead demonstrate completion of the equivalent of Grade 12, which can be shown through any of the following BUV-accepted qualifications:
All special cases require approval from the university's Academic Affairs department and depend on the specific programme and degree-awarding partner, so your child can submit their existing qualifications for the Admissions team to advise on the most suitable pathway.
