ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
The Bachelor of Events and Entertainment Management (Communication, Technology and Business) degree combines specialist event and entertainment industry expertise with a full business management education, equipping students to plan, produce and lead events, festivals, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) activity and entertainment experiences across Vietnam, the wider Asia-Pacific region and globally.
Students build a progressively deeper skill set across the degree: from the fundamentals of the global events and entertainment industry, project management and audience communication, through experiential marketing, sustainable event planning and production, digital transformation and artist/talent management, to strategic subjects such as event tourism, business leadership and entrepreneurship. The programme culminates in a structured industry placement at Level 5 and a client-facing independent consultancy project at Level 6, giving graduates hands-on, portfolio-ready experience before they enter the workforce.
YOUR LEARNING PATH
This module will equip students with a greater ability to communicate through writing, and speaking, as well as enhance their receptive skills with reading and listening. Overall, students will learn key foundational skills in academic English and develop a greater ability to use English in both formal and informal settings. The aim of this course is to build a strong foundation for students to extend towards more specialist, academic forms of English usage and comprehension.
This is a foundation module intended to provide students with a clear overview of principles of academic Integrity, forms of assessment, academic writing, presentations, structure, clarity, and methods of argumentation and coherent expression. The module will be delivered in 3-hour sessions comprising both traditional lecturing with group work, practical exercises, and in-class assessment and knowledge checks.
This is a foundation module intended to provide students with an introduction to a wide range of necessary study and personal skills, including ideation and creativity, effective study, stress and health management, teamwork and collaboration, personal branding, and career development.
The module aims to develop the student’s ability to challenge preconceptions, analse, reflect and review their progress within the context of art and design methods and to increase their personal independence by developing ideas that extend their skills through the practical investigation of materials, techniques, and processes associated with a specialist art and design study. Students will explore personal learning approaches that enable them to recognise and work confidently within the distinctive learning ethos and characteristics of a practice-based programme.
