This year’s QS results highlight Vietnam’s growing presence on the international higher education map, especially in creative disciplines. BUV is currently the only international university in Vietnam to be ranked in the top 200 for this subject, alongside established institutions in art and design such as the Royal College of Art, the University of the Arts London, the Glasgow School of Art, etc.
Compared with 2025, BUV has risen by 258 places, marking one of the most significant improvements among institutions in the region and reflecting its rapid development in creative education.
Reaffirming the standing of arts education in Vietnam
The 2026 QS World University Rankings were compiled using data from nearly 2,000 universities, a significant increase from the previous year. In Art and Design, rankings are based on two main criteria: academic reputation and employer reputation.
BUV’s academic reputation score reflects its recognition in the international academic community for its teaching, research quality, and scholarly contributions. This result is underpinned by a well-structured curriculum, partnerships with prestigious degree-awarding bodies, and 100% faculty with international qualifications and experience. These advantages contribute to a learning environment for unlimited creativity and research, where students’ artistic thinking is nurtured through cutting-edge knowledge and the rigorous quality assurance standards in British higher education.
The university’s employer reputation score also indicates strong industry confidence in the quality of graduates. BUV has become a top choice for multinational corporations and creative agencies. Employers highly value BUV students for their confidence, professionalism, practical mindset, and ability to adapt in the fast-changing digital economy.
BUV has built its Professional Employability and Experience Feedback (PEEF) system, allowing employers to evaluate students directly after their internships. Data from the 2024–2025 period indicates that 97.3% of BUV students received a rating of “Good” or “Excellent”.
“As the creative industries become a key pillar of the knowledge-based economy, BUV has focused on nurturing a new student generation with creative thinking and the ability to take ownership across the entire value chain, from idea to final product.
This international recognition in art and design reaffirms our commitment to delivering high quality British-accredited education, thus accelerating our expansion of academic programmes, deepening industry partnerships, and shaping future-ready talents for Vietnam and worldwide,” said Professor Rick Bennett, Deputy Chancellor and Vice President of BUV.
Some of the most popular programmes at BUV include Professional Communication, Film and Media Production, and Contemporary Creative Practice.
BUV has also partnered with Manchester Metropolitan University to launch two dual-degree programmes, including Graphic Design and Illustration with Animation. Manchester School of Art is one of the oldest art schools in the UK and is ranked among the world’s top 51–100 institutions for Art and Design by QS.
Besides, BUV actively organises and takes part in a range of creative activities and events to promote academic exchange, strengthen connections within the creative community, and stay aligned with industry trends.
In addition, the university’s network of more than 500 corporate partners, including many multinational groups and leading Vietnamese companies, gives students access to real-world working environments and broadens their career opportunities.
This achievement not only elevates BUV’s standing but also affirms the quality of Vietnamese higher education on the global map, particularly in the highly promising creative economy disciplines.
