BRITISH UNIVERSITY VIETNAM

Following the launch of Phase 2 in Q1 2025 — which raised the university's total training capacity to 5,500 students — BUV will begin construction of Phase 3, expected to be completed in Q1 2028 with an investment of USD 80 million, bringing total capacity to 10,000 students.

We are also continuously adding new majors in partnership with new degree-awarding institutions. For the 2026 intake, we are introducing four new programmes: Business & Technology, Food & Beverage, Graphic Design, and Animation. The university plans to continue expanding its programme offerings in the future.

This is due to the substantial difference in labour costs and cost of living between the UK and Vietnam, which leads to differences in staffing costs, operating costs, and facility construction costs — creating the difference in tuition between BUV's programmes and those at universities in the UK.

BUV graduates receive a bachelor's degree awarded by the relevant UK partner university. Degree classification follows the exact regulations and assessment framework of the UK partner, equivalent to that applied to students studying in the UK.

Bachelor's (Honours) degree classifications:

• First Class Honours
• Second Class Honours – Upper Division (2:1)
• Second Class Honours – Lower Division (2:2)
• Third Class Honours

Classification criteria:

• Based on the cumulative grade point average (GPA) across modules in the core programme, as set by the partner university
• Each module is assessed through multiple formats: individual/group assignments, presentations, projects, essays, final exams, etc.
• The assessment weighting for each module is clearly set out in its module specification
• Only modules that meet the required pass standard count towards the final degree classification
