From a shy sheep to a roaring lion

I used to be a shy, timid girl who avoided the eyes of others and could hardly believe I might ever win a scholarship. But with the patient support of my parents, I dared to step out of my comfort zone and let out my first “roar.”

Although I was admitted to prestigious public universities such as Foreign Trade University and National Economics University, I chose BUV instead, a new environment so different from the familiar public system, as a way to challenge myself. That decision opened a journey of growth and confidence: from winning a full scholarship, to becoming a Student Ambassador, leading teams, speaking on national television, and finally reaching the milestone of becoming the first BUV student awarded the ASEAN SEED full scholarship by the Government of Canada.

I have learned this truth: “If you never try, you will never know what you are capable of.” With the Lionhearted spirit nurtured at BUV, I have turned fear into motivation and transformed the timid little sheep I once was into someone who dares to inspire and lead in the community.
