SUCCESS STORIES

STUDENT EXPERIENCES ABROAD

Hear how international exchange gave BUV students new perspectives and skills to carry into their careers.

BUV student visiting the London Eye and River Thames from Westminster Bridge, London, UK

This exchange semester is a perfect way to both experience an international learning environment and explore local cultures and social development. As I got to know new friends, I discovered a wide range of unique personalities and realised that there is no single standard that fits everyone.

Nguyễn Ngọc Thùy Anh

Exchange student at Staffordshire University (UK)

This exchange experience helped me become more independent, confident, and open-minded. It broadened my perspective, strengthened my intercultural skills, and gave me a clearer direction for my future. Looking back, it was a transformative journey that prepared me for opportunities beyond borders.

Kim Ngọc Minh Châu

Exchange student at the University of New Brunswick (Canada) under the Canada–ASEAN SEED full scholarship programme

This summer programme was an exciting and truly enriching international experience. I had the opportunity to study and enjoy the summer alongside students from the IJRA, JRA, and Sussex Undergraduate Summer School programmes. My new friends came from all over the world, including the United States, Thailand, China, the Czech Republic, Brazil, Belgium, and Romania, which made it a genuinely global experience.

Khuất Quang Huy

Summer School & Research Scholarship recipient at the University of Sussex (UK)

My exchange gave me a hands-on learning experience that brought classroom knowledge to life, while connecting me with students from across Asia and Europe. As the only Vietnamese student, I also had the opportunity to share my culture and learn from others. Travelling to 9 countries and 33 cities made the experience even more truly global.
