EMPLOYERS SHARING

WHAT EMPLOYERS SAY ABOUT BUV STUDENTS

Trang is energetic, responsible, and quick to adapt. Even as an intern, she actively joined major company workshops and demonstrated strong initiative. Notably, her communication skills with partners are excellent, an important skill that not everyone possesses. In this role, skills can be learned and improved day by day, but attitude is what truly matters, and Trang has shown both humility and a strong willingness to learn.

Tran Tuan Anh

Partner Manager Lead · METUB Network

What matters most for students entering the profession is the ability to adapt, to learn independently and to build relationships with people. What you study at university is only the foundation; to grow, young people need to take the initiative to learn, to observe, and to stay with the profession for at least a few years to understand it in depth. I value Thanh for never being afraid to ask questions, for working hard, for organising her work well, and for fitting the core values of EY.

Pham Ngoc Long

Partner, Transfer Pricing · EY Vietnam

The partnership between Sun Group and BUV is a long and deep one. Visiting the campus, seeing the students in their learning environment, talking with them directly and watching how BUV runs its events, Sun Group came away with a great deal of confidence in the university. Alongside that, every year Sun Group welcomes a good number of BUV students to intern with us. Through partnerships like this we see a close connection between university and employer, between students and recruiters. We come to understand one another well before the students graduate, and that is an excellent foundation for them to settle into work quickly later on.

To Thi Hien

Learning & Development Director · Sun Group

BUV students show a clear sense of career direction, and they come well prepared, having taken the initiative to research the company's working environment before the interview. In luxury hospitality, sharp thinking, refined communication and a professional presence are exactly the qualities that give us the confidence to select candidates for promising roles right there at the event.

Nguyen Ngoc Anh

Learning & Development Manager · Capella Hanoi

I've seen a lot of students today, very passionate ones. They were all great, and especially, they have a love of the craft.
One of the things they are already doing well is feeding a lot of their love and passion for the craft into their portfolio. You need to keep building and feeding your portfolio all the time, from Day 1, Year 1, until graduation. This is very important.
But besides skills, you also need communication and mastering the art of receiving and giving feedback. That is my small advice.

Camille Thomas

Studio Operations Director · Sparx*

These students are very talented, full of original ideas, and quick on their feet in a field that never stops changing. Their work is more grounded in real application than I expected, and genuinely useful for the next five years. To my mind they have the potential to step straight into a job the moment they graduate.

Pham Quang Vinh

Senior Product Development Manager, IoT Engineer · One Mount Group

BUV students are among those who genuinely want to take in and engage with what is actually happening in the market. That is one of the things that sets them apart.

Le Quoc Vinh

Chairman & CEO · Le Group of Companies

These students are equipped with a very strong command of English. The projects and portfolios they presented to me all showed a high level of creativity, real care in how much they invested in the work, and a serious professional attitude.

GOOD TO KNOW

COMMON QUESTIONS

The vast majority of classes are taught offline, except for a small number of sessions delivered by visiting guest lecturers.

All majors at BUV require completion of a foundation/pathway programme beforehand. The only exception is for students on certain international curricula who meet the partner university's required scores for exemption; such cases are assessed individually by the Academic Affairs team.

The university requires completion of high school (Grade 12), but does not set any minimum grade requirement.

BUV follows the UK education system, so a Vietnamese high school diploma is not mandatory. Applicants must instead demonstrate completion of the equivalent of Grade 12, which can be shown through any of the following BUV-accepted qualifications:

An international high school qualification (IB, A-Level, AP, etc.)
A university foundation programme/certificate (e.g. BUV's International Foundation Programme (IFP) or an equivalent programme)
A certificate confirming completion of secondary education overseas

All special cases require approval from the university's Academic Affairs department and depend on the specific programme and degree-awarding partner, so your child can submit their existing qualifications for the Admissions team to advise on the most suitable pathway.
