Unlike high school life in which students are protected by their teachers and parents, university life is a brand–new environment with different learning and research methods, expanding networks, interaction with teachers and extracurricular activities. They all require an initiative, independent and mature attitudes from students. Thus, what do students need to prepare to become an active and confident student who takes every opportunity of college time to succeed?
Understanding the difficulties that students will cope with in the new journey of their life time, British University Vietnam (BUV), in collaboration with educational institutions and business partners, is holding a webinar with the topic: “What are Cultural Intelligence Skills?” with the presence of distinguished guests:
- Dr. Nguyen Chi Hieu– Alumni of Stanford University (UK), Executive Director of IEG;
- MSc. Nguyen Thac Thang – UK Alumni, Executive Director of First Alliances;
- Mr. Christopher Jeffery–Chief Academic Officer of British University Vietnam (BUV), Chairman of The British Business Group Vietnam. Participating in the webinar, students will learn about Cultural Intelligence skills and the importance of skills that students need to develop, so that they can quickly adapt to new working and study environments, and catch up with the pace of the world. Special guests who have had time to study in the UK will share their valuable experiences of how to adjust to themselves to their life’s changes and give advice on necessary skills to quickly integrate with globalization and seize opportunities during college and after graduation.
In addition to UK alumni, the webinar also welcomes Mr. Christopher Jeffery – Chief Academic Officer of BUV. He will share the difficulties that high school students may face when transferring from high school to university and, also introduce the support from BUV to its freshers to overcome the initial obstacles.
With an impressive team of special guests, the webinar hopes to give students positive inspiration to change themselves, open their minds to new opportunities, and help them draw up a clear study plan.
