Tech Queens is more than just a scholarship; it is a commitment to nurturing the next generation of female tech leaders in Vietnam. Currently, women constitute only about 37% of the STEM workforce, which limits innovation and neglects significant talent. BUV is leading a coalition of local and international organisations to empower female students through this scholarship, aiming to close the gender gap and tap into an underutilised pool of ideas, perspectives, and creativity.
As the demand for data scientists, AI experts, software engineers, and other tech professionals has soared at an unprecedented pace in recent years, women’s participation has become indispensable for driving Vietnam’s economic and social progress. Diverse teams fuel better problem-solving, stronger performance, and more impactful technological solutions. This initiative not only supports deserving candidates academically but also inspires future generations of young girls to pursue STEM fields, transforming cultural perceptions and strengthening Vietnam’s position in the global market.
Ultimately, “Tech Queens: Elevating Women in Innovation” represents a strategic investment in human capital, ensuring that women’s voices shape Vietnam’s digital transformation and enhance the country’s global competitiveness.
