POSITION PURPOSE

This position is responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that challenge and inspire our students to achieve their full potential and will also be involved in assessing and reporting on student progress and providing pastoral support and guidance.

To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant degree and a recognised teaching qualification. You will also have experience of teaching A-Level Economics in a UK curriculum setting or equivalent. You will have excellent subject knowledge and pedagogical skills, a passion for your subjects and a commitment to continuous professional development. You will also have effective communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with colleagues, students, and parents.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

As a dedicated and qualified teacher of Economics, you will become an integral part of our supportive, welcoming, and successful team, committed to achieving excellent outcomes. Your role encompasses the following key responsibilities:

  • Teaching: Engaging and delivering the challenging Cambridge International A-level Economics lessons (or IFP equivalents) with a focus on maintaining consistently exacting standards of teaching and learning.
  • Autonomous Learning: Designing lessons that stimulate independent learning and foster effective responses to feedback, nurturing students’ ability to learn autonomously.
  • Team Collaboration: Actively participating in the A Level team, contributing to curriculum planning, and collaborating in the preparation of educational materials.
  • Passion for Economics: Instilling a genuine love for Economics in students through dynamic and inspiring teaching methods.
  • Cohesive Team Environment: Contributing to the overall cohesion, hard work ethic, and happiness of the team by embracing a strong collegiate culture.
  • Holistic Development: Promoting students’ academic, personal, and social development beyond the classroom.
  • Class size: 20-25
  • Schedule: Daytime, Monday to Friday.
  • Hours of work: 8:30am – 5:30 pm / Ranging from 12 -20 hours contact per week.
  • Students’ level: Aged 15 and above, gifted students.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Native ability in English.
  • Experienced in teaching A-Level (or equivalent) Economics at an international high school.
  • Master’s Degree in relevant Business, Economics or Math’s subject + relevant internationally recognised teaching qualification.
  • Holding a business visa and meets requirements to work in Vietnam (three years working experience or possesses an international teaching certificate.)
  • Experience in Vietnam’s public schooling system or with Cambridge International Programmes.
  • This certified A Level Economics teaching position requires candidates to hold a recognised teaching qualification, we are seeking an individual who possesses the following attributes:
