British University Vietnam (BUV) is the first and only international university in Vietnam to directly award British degrees from the prestigious University of London, University of Staffordshire, University of Stirling and Arts University Bournemouth. POSITION PURPOSE
The Associate Manager will provide excellent assistance to the Dean (Higher Education) & Heads of School through the careful management of key information flows, documentation, and reporting as they relate to Higher Education delivery (in collaboration with ASSA) and the requirements of key internal and external stakeholders; including Operations (in collaboration with BUV Operation Teams), Quality Assurance (in collaboration with Quality Office), Research & Innovation (in collaboration with the Centre for Research and Innovation), Academic Development (in collaboration with the Centre for Academic Development) TNE partners, QS, QAA and MOET (In collaboration with ASSA, Quality Office, and Office of the PVC International Strategy & Engagement).
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Support Dean (Higher Education) & Heads of School in managing key data sets, reports and paperwork both within schools and across other functions including Quality Assurance, Research, Academic Development, QS, QAA and MOET
- Contribute and support Schools collaboration with external partners, including but not limited to key paperwork for TNE provision
- Act in support of the Dean (Higher Education) & Heads of School during operational planning for the delivery of Higher Education
- Work with Dean (Higher Education) & Heads of School to respond to information requests from other functions of the university
- Coordinate with ASSA to ensure smooth delivery of key School and/or Dean lead Higher Education projects
- Lead and mentor junior staff within the Dean’s Office, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and that the team’s work is aligned with department goals.
- Review and assess department processes regularly, proposing improvements or solutions for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work as required with the Dean’s PA and Heads of School in support cross-functional project teams for department-wide initiatives, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
- Provide comprehensive administrative support for the Dean and Heads of School, including but not limited to coordinating travel arrangements for Higher Education (HE) Department, organizing partner visits, managing HE events, collecting academic requests from the school, transportation, and other tasks as required.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Essential
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, or Foreign Languages
- At least three-year experience in the same position in a university or similar institutions environment is an advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in English and Vietnamese
- Excellent computer skills – MS office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Database)
Desirable
- Masters degree
- Extensive experience in the area of administration from an international education institution in Vietnam or overseas.
