In April, BUV welcomed 7 Master of Business Administration (MBA) students from Ecole de Commerce de Lyon to BUV according to a unique 10-day cultural immersion programme to introduce them to Vietnamese culture. The programme combines on-campus activities such as interactive workshops led by BUV lecturers with off-campus adventures. Besides lectures at BUV campus, students were offered opportunities to explore cultural sites, visit major attractions, and gain industry insights through company visits.
MBA students participating in this cultural immersion program all have great experiences during their time at BUV. Jocelyn Gordillo Rodríguez shared her thoughts: “I would like to thank to the British University Vietnam for all their hospitality, everything was just perfect, we go back home with so beautiful memories”. Yasmine Daoudi, loved the whole trip to Vietnam and to BUV. “All the activities were incredible, we were able to learn and discover a lot of Vietnamese culture. It’s a very enriching experience and I recommend everyone to participate”, shared Yasmine.
Throughout their journey, the students also joined BUV’s Local Buddy community, gaining opportunities to experience student life, culture, and education in Vietnam through activities such as pottery making and visiting the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology. This was also a chance for BUV students to interact with international students, learn about other cultures, and make new international friends.
This exchange strengthened the relationship between BUV and the Ecole de Commerce de Lyon and served as a steppingstone for expanding relationships with international education partners. BUV hopes to welcome more students from universities around the world to participate in the Cultural Immersion Programme in the future!
