Artificial Intelligence

This module is intended for students who wish to acquire skills in computer programming and an understanding of the principles underlying computer systems and networks. It is compulsory for students entering degree programmes involving computer sciences, software engineering and information systems.
This module introduces students to two of the most popular technologies for creating a website: a structured information source, and a scripting language to present the content; as well as knowledge about the operation behind an online site.
The dissertation is a capstone project that runs through the whole of the senior year, which allows students to demonstrate their competence as an independent, critical and reflective computer professional, drawing on the skills they have developed throughout their degree programme.

For the dissertation, students will independently undertake the systematic development of a software application of their choice.
