These partnerships provide students from Laos and India access to UK-accredited degrees in Vietnam, offering a high-quality alternative to studying abroad. With strong UK university ties and career-focused programmes, BUV positions itself as a leading international education provider, offering these regional students valuable opportunities for academic and professional growth while promoting cultural exchange.
British University Vietnam (BUV) is proud to embark on new partnerships with three prestigious international student recruitment agencies from Laos and India, marking a significant step in our global strategy to welcome more international students. These partnerships, formalized through the signing of Collaboration Agreements, will pave the way for a broader and more diverse student body at BUV.
The collaboration agreements were signed with key international agents including Mr. Elson Lee, Founder and CEO of Hyper Learning & Consultancy (Laos); Ms. Thanapha Naovalath (Tanya), CEO & Founder of Fonica Education (Laos); Mr. Richard Lasrado, Founder and Mr. Manoj Dave, Financial Advisor from My Education Abroad (India). With their deep expertise and strong regional networks, these partners will be instrumental in connecting prospective students with BUV’s world-class programmes, expanding our global reach, and supporting student success across borders.

BUV’s commitment to expanding its international reach with key international agents from Laos and India.
Through these partnerships, students from these countries will have easier access to study abroad opportunities in Vietnam, where they can pursue UK-accredited programmes and earn degrees directly from the UK. The appointed education counsellors will play a key role in streamlining the application process, offering personalised guidance, and providing support to help students settle into life in Vietnam, allowing them to focus on their studies without the stress of extensive planning or time-consuming preparations.

The expanding international reach of BUV is further reflected in the growing interest from Indian students, highlighting the university’s increasing appeal as a study destination. Mr. Richard Lasrado, Founder of My Education Abroad, shared his insights on why BUV stands out as a top choice for students from India: “The QS rankings, five-star ratings, and UK accreditations are major selling points for international students. BUV offers excellent campus facilities and partnerships with top UK universities, which provide Indian students with access to high-quality education and internationally recognised degrees without the need to travel far.”

As BUV continues to expand its international reach, the perspectives from Laos further underscore the strong cultural and educational ties between Vietnam and Laos. Both Ms. Tanya, CEO & Founder of Fonica Education, and Mr. Elson Lee, Founder and CEO of Hyper Learning & Consultancy, highlighted the unique benefits BUV offers to Lao students. Ms. Tanya shared her thoughts on why BUV is a great fit for Lao students: “BUV offers high-quality education that is both accessible and affordable, which is especially important for students who don’t need to travel far from home. Laos and Vietnam share many cultural similarities, and it’s easy for Lao students to adapt to the way of life here”.
Mr. Elson Lee added: “BUV offers Laotian students a unique opportunity with its proximity, strong infrastructure, and partnerships with UK universities. The internationally recognised degrees, such as those from the University of London, provide excellent employability prospects, whether in Vietnam or abroad. It’s a great option for students seeking quality education and career growth.”
For students in India and Laos, these collaborations will significantly enhance the opportunities available to them at BUV. Mr. Matt Jansen, Head of International Student Recruitment at BUV, emphasised the significance of these collaborations in broadening BUV’s global outreach and providing tailored opportunities for students from different regions: “This collaboration offers us valuable insights from diverse perspectives. Vietnam presents unique opportunities for students from different countries. Indian and Laotian students are drawn to the UK degree and scholarship options at BUV and attracted to the chance to connect with industry and secure jobs in Vietnam’s rapidly growing economy. These factors shape how students view and choose BUV as their preferred study destination”.
With an increased presence in key international markets, BUV aims to offer more students the chance to study in a diverse and dynamic academic environment. Through close collaboration with trusted agents, BUV will extend its reach and offer tailored support to help students transition seamlessly into the university, ensuring they are well-prepared for academic excellence and future career success.
