BUV Ecopark Campus – Focusing on students’ experience

BUV’s Ecopark Campus is in completion of its first phase, and expected to become operational in 2018. This will be an important milestone in the development of BUV, and is good news for Vietnamese students wishing to study in a state-of-the-art campus and a truly international environment.

Mr. Doan Tuong Minh – IT Project Manager at BUV, said that “In the development process of this project, BUV focuses on facilitating collaboration and interaction among the students themselves as well as between students and lecturers.” Classrooms and lecture halls will be equipped with state-of-the-art Audio Visual systems to assist various learning and teaching methods. X-Space classrooms enable lecturers to effectively instruct several student groups simultaneously through the careful arrangement of small discussion areas, each with its own set of Audio Visual equipment.

Students gain access to physical and online learning materials through our Learning Resource Centre, which is linked with several reputable international publishers, as well as through internal resources of BUV, University of London, Staffordshire University and other independent sources. A special highlight is the Lecture Capture system, which records lectures and uploads them to a centralised cloud database, enabling students to access the materials whenever and wherever, exceptionally helpful during revision.

Mr. Minh also stated that “Information Technology is one of the common weaknesses of traditional academic institutions here in Vietnam. BUV has invested significantly in this area in our Ecopark Campus. The entire facility is developed to British standards, based on successful implementation case studies all over the world. Our IT system will ensure that students receive the best learning assistance and overall experience during their time at BUV.”
