Recently, British University Vietnam (BUV) received the 5-star QS Stars certificate at the QS Stars & Recognition Awards (Jakarta, Indonesia). The ceremony was organised to award educational institutions in the Asia-Pacific region that are recognised for improvement, research excellence, reputation impact, and sustainable development.
Prof. Dr. Raymond Gordon attended the QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2022 and received the Certificate of BUV’s QS 5-star recognition.
Previously in August 2022, BUV was awarded a 5-star Excellent University rating from the internationally acknowledged QS organisation, specifically on the following criteria: Teaching, Employability, Academic Development, Facilities, Social Responsibilities, and Inclusiveness. Furthermore, the Finance and Economics programme of BUV was also honoured to receive a 5-star validation from QS for the criterion of Programme Strength.
Currently, British University Vietnam is the first and the only higher education institution in Vietnam to be certified with an overall rating of 5 stars. This is the result of BUV’s ongoing efforts on the journey of contributing to education, aiming to develop a generation of students with professional competence and multi-skills and know how to generate opportunities for themselves and contribute to society.
At BUV, students have access to high-quality British undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. To ensure and improve training efficiency, the University focuses on comprehensive investment in quality accreditation activities and modern facilities with advanced educational technologies, such as providing students with 100% digital learning materials, an online learning management system (LMS), and technical equipment to support learning on campus.
Personal development for students is one of the University’s top priorities in education and training mission. BUV has implemented the compulsory Personal Development Programme (PDP), where students are required to have at least 1 internship in their PDP Transcript along with other activities to complete the degree and be awarded the Career Readiness Certificate upon graduation. Thereby, students are equipped with the necessary skill sets for the industrial revolution 4.0, seizing the opportunity to become future leaders.
The QS Stars & Recognition Awards ceremony is part of the annual education conference – QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia-Pacific region in 2022 with the theme “The Next Big Thing: Addressing New Opportunities and Existing Challenges in APAC Higher Ed.” This year, the summit was organised in the format of a hybrid conference and exhibition hosted by Universitas Indonesia and co-hosted by Prince of Songkla University (PSU) with QS – a global higher education analyst.
The three-day event covers insightful keynotes, debates, panel discussions, and case studies and is also an opportunity to connect with international higher education leaders, industry experts, and policymakers.
