British University Vietnam lecturers are worldwide recognised by University of London

Recently, the University of London recognises the achievement of successful graduates from the Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education by granting them University of London Worldwide Recognised Tutor Status in 2020, in which, there are 4 lecturers of BUV which is recognised as Registered Centre of University of London.
The University of London recognises the achievement of successful graduates from the Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education by granting them University of London Worldwide Recognised Tutor Status. This includes receiving a certificate and is noted on the diploma supplement. There are 4 lecturers of BUV who are honorably in this list.

Recognised Tutor Status is granted to all successful graduates of the University of London Postgraduate Certificate Learning and Teaching in Higher Education. By undertaking the University of London Postgraduate Certificate Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, learners will have the opportunity to gain a prestigious academic qualification (postgraduate certificate) and Recognised Tutor Status. During the programme, they will be supported in enhancing understanding, knowledge, skills, and practice in teaching, learning and assessment for Higher Education.
Dr. Shashi Chaudhary: Senior lecturer, Programme Leader of International Business Management
Dr. Shashi owns more than a decade of teaching experience in the Higher Education Sector. He also has 5 years’ experience of working closely with the policy makers in the Capacity of the Deputy Director of Research Department in the Central Bank of Nepal. He is very active in research activities and has authored and co-authored 17 research articles that have been published in peer reviewed journals. He also has presented several papers in international and national conferences. His area of expertise is in the field of international economics and global businesses.
As a lecturer, he always emphasises on collaboration, independence of learning, and critical reflection while he is interacting with the learners. He believes that learners learn best when they collaborate, are trusted to make decisions and take responsibility for their learning.
Mr. Aiman Abousher: Senior lecturer, Programme Leader of Marketing Management
Mr. Aiman’s teaching style is lively and full of enthusiasm. He is passionate and dedicated towards his students’ learning. He believes in each and every student and will do whatever it takes to make sure his students gain knowledge and skills during their learning experience, so they become discipline experts within their field of education. He shares interesting real-life experiences and makes learning finance and economics fun and exciting for his students. During his academic career of over 22 years of teaching and research, he has been selected as a favourite among his students many times. In 2004, Mr. Aiman was the winner of the Vice Chancellor’s Teaching Excellence Award at Victoria University. In 2008 and 2012, he won the Commendation for Excellence in Teaching from Deakin University and Ballarat University. In 2019 he won the Vice Chancellor’s Teaching Excellence Award from British University Vietnam and in 2020 he won the Deans Best Teaching Award from British University Vietnam.
Mr. Konstantinos Tsontos: Senior lecturer, School of Business
Mr. Konstantinos holds a First-class BSc. in Economics from National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece and a MSc. in Operational Research (Engineering Production) from the University of Birmingham, U.K. He is a certified Economist, certified Lead Auditor for Quality Assurance /ISO9001 and a certified Trainer (International Board of Certified Trainers).
Mr. Konstantinos has more than 20 years of Human Resource experience, holding Senior Managerial positions while at the same time working as a free-lance business consultant and trainer. Additionally, he worked for 5 years the Greek National Centre for Public Administration as an external lecturer. Mr. Konstantinos has conducted extensive training sessions and seminars at all levels in a corporate environment. He has written several articles upon Human Resource and Career Development published in Greek’s newspapers and was a speaker at relevant events. He is passionate about Education, Learning and Human Resources Development. He has worked as Regional Training Officer – Tajikistan & Uzbekistan – at the humanitarian organization “Médecins Sans Frontières” in 2014, as a business lecturer at Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent, where he was a speaker. On September 2017, he joined BUV as a Business Management lecturer.
Mr. Jasper Roe – Senior lecturer, Head of Pre-University
Jasper Roe has been working in the international higher education for over six years. He has published several articles on education in international journals and is interested in the sociology of education. He holds a BA in English Language from University of Birmingham, an MA in Social Sciences from Uppsala University (Sweden), and a PGCert in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education from University of London. He is currently completing his PhD in Social Sciences at University of Valencia (Spain). Jasper is an engaging and energetic teacher who strongly believes in encouraging students to think differently and approach challenges in new ways. He shared: “Teaching at BUV is rewarding because I get to see the students develop day by day. I believe in our university’s mission and I know that we’re truly educating the leaders of tomorrow.”
British University Vietnam (BUV) is the first and only international university awarding 100% British Degrees in Vietnam.
