The “Uninterrupted Study Journey” programme with the message “Go further by Staying Local” of British University Vietnam helps students to continue their study in an international education environment amid the Covid-19 outbreak. Students at BUV can choose to transfer credits to continue studying at many universities around the world.
2020 is an unforgettable school year for students, especially international students. Students either chose to stay abroad or come back to Vietnam to find more suitable solutions for their study. With the purpose of helping students continue to study after returning home, BUV implements the “Uninterrupted Study Journey ” programme with a variety of supporting policies.
While doing the British curriculum at BUV, students can transfer to the University of London, Staffordshire University, and many other UK universities due to the same academic credit system. For other universities around the world, BUV will support students as much as possible to transfer credits, as BUV is implementing Undergraduate programmes identical to those in the UK.
For those who have been studying at international universities and want to transfer to BUV, students need to transfer the whole transcript of the university they are attending, along with their high school diploma and language certificate. If students encounter any difficulties in the process of preparing transfer documents, they will be consulted on a case-by-case basis.
Students who complete the full three years from high school in an English speaking country upon transfer to BUV will be exempt from IELTS. If the study period is less than three years but studying took place in English, then you can submit the results to BUV for exemption of IELTS certificate.
Also, Vietnamese students transferring from abroad will get a discount of 15% of the tuition fee when enrolling into BUV.
For high school students who want to study abroad but are not ready due to extenuating circumstances, they can choose to attend the Foundation Programmes at BUV, which will provide them with foundational knowledge and skills for Undergraduate courses before applying to universities or to continue their journey at BUV for 1 or 2 years before transferring credits.
In response to Covid-19, BUV postponed the opening of the semester until September to ensure that high schoolers have enough time to complete their high school programme and prepare well before entering university.
Mr. Christopher Jeffery, Chief Academic Officer, emphasized that BUV will always focus on the process of evaluating candidates, while giving advice to help students on their study and career orientation.
He also shared: “Supporting the transfer of credits for students wishing to transfer to other universities is what we still did before Covid-19. This is to assist students wishing to finish their study or those who are exchange students.
The “Uninterrupted Study Journey – Go Further by Staying Local” programme provides a stable learning path for students and is a solid stepping stone for other future study plans. Studying at BUV, students receive a training program similar to that in the UK with our 100% international faculty, globally recognized qualifications and a modern learning environment.
