POSITION PURPOSE

The Senior Officer, Education Counsellor (Postgraduate) will drive the recruitment strategy for postgraduate programs such as MBA, Master of Business, etc by engaging prospective students through outreach and effective counselling. This role focuses on building relationships with educational institutions and corporate partners to enhance lead generation and conversion into enrolments. The successful candidate will support major recruitment events and collaborate with various teams to ensure a seamless recruitment process. By continuously improving sales processes and leveraging market insights, the Senior Officer will contribute to BUV’s growth and reputation as a premier educational institution.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Key Responsibilities

1.     Lead Generation and Partnership Development

  • Networking: Establish and nurture relationships with universities, colleges, and industry partners to generate leads for postgraduate programs.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with academic departments to understand program offerings and align partnership opportunities accordingly.
  • Outreach Activities: Organize and lead outreach initiatives, including branding events, webinars, and information sessions, to attract prospective students and partners.
  • Follow-Up Strategies: Implement effective follow-up strategies to convert initial interest into qualified leads & enrolments.

2.     Sales and Enrolment Conversion

  • Counselling: Provide expert guidance to prospective postgraduate students regarding course selection, admission requirements, and career pathways.
  • Application Support: Assist candidates throughout the application process, ensuring they have the necessary information and documentation to apply successfully.
  • Personalized Engagement: Utilize a personalized approach to engage with leads, addressing their specific needs and concerns to encourage enrolment.

3.     Market Research and Strategy

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough research to identify market trends, competitor offerings, and potential areas for growth in postgraduate enrolments.
  • Campaign Development: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns that resonate with prospective students and partners.
  • Feedback Collection: Gather insights from stakeholders and students to refine program offerings and recruitment strategies.

4.     Reporting and Analysis

  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of interactions with leads, applications, and enrolment data in the CRM system.
  • Performance Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on recruitment performance, highlighting successes, challenges, and recommendations for future strategies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze recruitment metrics to identify strengths and areas for improvement, implementing changes as necessary.

5.     Continuous Improvement of Sales Process

  • Process Evaluation: Regularly assesses the effectiveness of existing sales processes, identifying bottlenecks and areas for enhancement.
  • Feedback Mechanisms: Establish feedback loops with team members and stakeholders to gather insights on the sales process and implement improvements.
  • Technology Utilization: Leverage CRM tools and other technologies to streamline the sales process, enhance tracking, and improve communication with prospects.
  • Benchmarking: Compare sales metrics against industry standards and best practices to ensure competitive efficiency and effectiveness.

6.     General

  • Collaboration with Events Team: Assist the events team in planning and executing major recruitment events, ensuring that postgraduate programs are effectively represented.
  • Undergraduate Recruitment Support: Collaborate with the undergraduate recruitment team during large- scale events, providing insights and support to enhance overall recruitment efforts.
  • Cross Departmental Tasks: Engage in other tasks and projects as assigned by the Line Manager, contributing to the overall goals of the university.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

COMPETENCIES (knowledge, skills, and abilities)

Essential

  • Vietnamese national
  • Holder of bachelor’s degree in business, Education, Marketing, or a related field; a Master’s degree is highly desirable
  • At least 03 years of proven consultation or sales experience in both B2B & B2C, in which at least 1 year in the education sector, preferably relating to international higher education or a proven track record of relevant work experiences demonstrating student recruitment ability.
  • Excellent selling, consulting and presenting skills, with a strong sales aptitude, customer focus and relationship building
  • Proven ability to achieve a high level of attention to detail and information accuracy
  • Excellent in working under pressure to meet individual and team targets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Vietnamese and English
  • Computer literacy in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)

Desirable

  • Study background from international universities in Vietnam or oversea universities is an advantage
  • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good in planning, organizing and especially executing
  • Experience in working with professional database management/CRM systems is an advantage
  • Understanding of Education: Familiarity with postgraduate education and the Vietnamese education landscape is a significant advantage.
