Leaders Talk: The changing face of IT in financial services
Over the years, the rise of fintech has made some industry-changing impacts on financial services such as banking, insurance, accountancy, investments… which serve many interests of both businesses and consumers. In Vietnam’s ever-evolving economy where innovation is key, especially with the accelerated shift to digital platforms due to COVID-19, what exactly does it take for a business to transform for the future?
Technologies, leadership and operations – the next ‘Leaders Talk’ webinar will address these main aspects with up-to-date insights and case studies in finance, which could be applied to most businesses in the modern economy, even in other industries. The topic will be presented by Matthew Martin, General Director of Transaxium, who has over 30 years of experience in management and technology specialist roles in renowned banks including HSBC, Standard Chartered, and most recently ACB Vietnam.
A proud former recipient of IDG ASEAN CIO of the Year, Matthew continues to work with banks and technology providers to promote the development of technology for the financial services industry in Vietnam through his consulting company Transaxium. He is currently helping to deliver supply chain finance solutions and digital transformation consultation for World Bank’s IFC as well as developing the operating platforms of a major fund management company in Vietnam.
Moderated by Dr. João Fialho – Leader of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme at BUV, “The Changing Face of IT in Financial Services” will be the 5th episode in the ‘Leaders Talk’ event series co-organised by British University Vietnam (BUV) and British Chamber of Commerce Vietnam (BritCham Vietnam). Built for career-oriented professionals, the programme is where business ideas and experience are shared and exchanged.
