This partnership not only ensures a seamless transition to high-quality academic opportunities for promising students but also enriches the teaching resources and methods for all involved. As a result, it contributes to sustainably enhancing the quality of the future Vietnamese workforce. 

Triple Benefit Partnership in Education Development  

Within the framework of educational development activities, the partnership between universities and high schools that share a common philosophy, vision, and stringent quality standards is always regarded as a “multi-benefit” initiative.  

Not only does this partnership provide a seamless transition to high-quality academic opportunities for potential students, but it also enriches the teaching resources and methods for all involved. This contributes to sustainably enhancing the quality of the future Vietnamese workforce. 

Elevating these collaborative relationships to a new level, many universities have been bold in offering attractive scholarship packages to high school students. This initiative broadens access to high-quality higher education for students with potential and corresponding abilities.

According to educational experts, this advanced partnership will support early career orientation for students with the potential for university-level training, preparing them psychologically and financially to pursue their passions. For universities, it allows early engagement with potential candidates for admissions, ensuring a high quality of incoming students that aligns with the established standards.  

Diversity in High School Coverage  

As one of the pioneering universities in Vietnam that emphasizes the importance of partnerships with high schools to deliver multifaceted value, British University Vietnam (BUV) has established and annually maintains the Key Partnership Scholarship programmes for its strategic partner high schools. This scholarship is part of the BUV Scholarship Fund with the motto “Here for the Future of Vietnam.” 

Most recently, on May 12th, BUV officially awarded nearly 50 scholarships to talented students within a network of 15 strategic partner high schools across Hanoi. Notably, this year’s scholarship recipients come from a diverse array of public and private high schools located in various districts, ensuring equal opportunities for all potential candidates.

Present in the list of public schools are five institutions with strong academic traditions in the capital, including Viet Duc High School, High School for Educational Sciences, Kim Lien High School, Tran Phu-Hoàn Kiem High School, and Phan Dinh Phung High School. 

Among the private schools are ten renowned for their diversity, creativity in education, and student development. These include Edison High School, FPT High School, Greenfield High School, Marie Curie High School, Vinschool Imperia, Vinschool Ocean Park, Vinschool Smart City, Vinschool Times City, Vinschool The Harmony, and Wellspring High School. 

“We are delighted to continue to accompany and welcome many talented new students from our network of high school partners who share our orientation towards sustainable educational development. The excellence of these students will continue to be nurtured in BUV’s 5-star training environment, and they will serve as living proof of the effectiveness and humanity of BUV’s cooperative educational initiatives for Vietnam’s education system and society,” said Mr. Christopher Jeffery, Pro-Vice Chancellor (International, Strategy & Engagement) at BUV, during the scholarship award ceremony.

Mr. Do Van Nam, Secretary of the Youth Union at Tran Phu – Hoan Kiem High School, emphasized the importance of the partnership between the two schools, stated “Collaborating with British University Vietnam for nearly 15 years, I have seen that the Key Partnership Scholarship Programme provides a valuable opportunity for our students to study in a modern, dynamic international environment right here in Vietnam. This partnership has motivated many generations of students in their studies and encouraged their active participation in community activities. I believe this will be the foundation for their future success.” 

Expressing her immediate “love” for BUV, Mai Thao Vy, the Key Partnership Scholarship winner from Tran Phu – Hoan Kiem High School, initially hesitated to apply due to financial constraints. “However, this was a precious opportunity to step out of my comfort zone. I made an effort to learn from the smallest things, like how to write an essay or build a personal portfolio. Ultimately, coincidentally on my birthday, BUV gave me the best 18th birthday gift ever. Through this, I want to tell my peers: Never give up!” Mai Thao Vy shared.  

On the same day, BUV awarded 45 Starleo Scholarships to 45 students across four Schools: Business; Computing and Innovative Technologies; Communication and Creative Industries; Hospitality and Tourism. This supports students in realizing their aspirations to study and develop in an international environment. Embracing the lion’s brave spirit, BUV’s Starleo mascot, these students demonstrated determination to surpass conventional limits, excelling in academic achievements and actively participating in community activities aligned with their passionate fields of study.

After six years of continuous operation, the BUV Scholarship Fund has granted thousands of scholarships and financial aid worth nearly 300 billion Vietnamese dongs, enlightening outstanding individuals from various provinces nationwide, regardless of their backgrounds and strengths. Scholarship students have continued to demonstrate remarkable achievements during their time at BUV and beyond graduation. This initiative continues to be the cornerstone in fulfilling the aspirations of numerous young talents aspiring to pursue a world-class international education programme right here in Vietnam.
