IELTS for University is a series of part-time IELTS courses that:
(1) provides English language training for high school students to achieve their target IELTS scores for university entrance;
(2) prepares students with the essential academic English skills for undergraduate studies, and;
(3) inspires students towards their undergraduate studies by taking IELTS courses within an authentic 5-star international university setting.

At the Foundation level, the curriculum integrates various language skills to provide students with a holistic understanding of their interconnectedness, from the fundamentals of pronunciation and grammar, to more stimulating project-based learning.

Package highlights
- Designed and delivered by fully qualified English language teachers whose area of expertise is IELTS.

- Upon enrollment in the undergraduate programme at BUV, the IELTS Tuition Fee (not including other fees) will be fully reimbursed, as long as the student being awarded a scholarship/bursary not exceeding 15% of the tuition fee. This amount will be deducted equally over a period of three years of degree.

Level outcomes
IELTS Foundation (from 4.0 to 4.5)
Speaking – Creating a mindset which enhances proficiency and confidence related to more familiar topics; also, addressing the specific question types faced in the IELTS test.
Listening – Developing strategies to improve not only test-based listening skills, but also day-to-day conversational listening skills.
Reading – Structured to familiarise students with the various question types, but also to integrate reading into the overall concept of idea, vocabulary development and language capability.
Writing – Creating a comprehensive bank of vocabulary and understanding the different writing styles required to successfully complete Task 1 and 2 questions.
IELTS Intermediate A (from 4.5 to 5.0)
Speaking – Focus shifts towards refining language and pronunciation skills, as more unfamiliar topics will be introduced. More emphasis placed on the different question types to ensure the most successful test outcome.
Listening – More challenging listening exercises integrated and concentrate on more advanced techniques, which are required to handle different accents or more complex audio material.
Reading – Critically engage students with the reading material, with more focus on unfamiliar vocabulary, which is essential to develop more sophisticated language skills.
Writing – At this level, emphasis is placed not only on task completion but also cultivating a writing style that is very effective and matches the IELTS marking criteria.
IELTS Intermediate B (from 5.0 to 5.5)
Speaking – Articulating ideas about complex or abstract topics, with a concentrated focus on fluency and coherence.
Listening – At this level, students have established the fundamental skills for listening exercises. Now we examine more challenging tasks, such as identifying distractors or implied meanings.
Reading – Building on the knowledge and skills gained in Intermediate A, students are encouraged to delve deeper and analyse the reading tasks which will undoubtedly benefit their reading skills and extend their range of vocabulary in all situations.
Writing – Further examines the mechanics of essay construction by crafting positions with details and precise use of language.
IELTS Upper-Intermediate (from 5.5 to 6.0)
Speaking – Students will be engaged dynamically in debates and discussions on multifaceted topics, aiming to cultivate advanced communication skills, precision and sophistication in expression.
Listening – Students will be able to encompass advanced listening comprehension strategies, and are guided to discern subtle nuances, implicit meanings, and complex details within audio materials commonly encountered in the IELTS test.
Reading –Designed to challenge students with complex texts, fostering critical analysis and synthesis of information across a spectrum of genres.
Writing – Students are challenged to demonstrate mastery in crafting well-reasoned arguments, exhibiting a sophisticated command of language, essential for success at this level.
IELTS Pre-Advanced (from 6.0 to 6.5)
Speaking – Encourage students to engage in nuanced discussions and deliver presentations on complex topics. Introducing students to the art of persuasive communication, rhetorical devices and advanced vocabulary.
Listening – Recognizing accents to encompass advanced listening comprehension strategies. Guiding students to discern intricate nuances, implicit meanings, and complex details within audio materials commonly encountered in the IELTS test.
Reading – Constructed to challenge students with sophisticated texts across diverse genres and to develop advanced language skills.

IELTS Advanced (from 6.5 to 7.0)
