BUV Career Services & Industry Relations Team aims to nurture independent competent candidates in the labour market who can choose the most suitable opportunities, express who they are in the most confident and strategic approach, then persuade the future employers to hire them.
From October 2021, BUV has implemented the Personal and Social Growth (PSG) Programme where students are required to complete one of the professional experience options to complete the degree and be awarded the Career Readiness Certificate upon graduation. Along with other PSG activities, the professional experience enhance students’ development and industry exposure, career planning and preparation skills, and professional experiences.
An internship is considered completed and qualified based on the following list of criteria.

- Reflective Learning and Growth
- Supervision & Mentorship at Work

During the student journey at BUV and in all internship semesters, BUV provides students with a full array of support areas from application preparation, and consultation during the internship period, as well as guidance when completing one. Our range of support includes, but is not limited to:
Internship Opportunities
The opportunities from BUV’s industry partners are posted on BUV Job Portal and Facebook Fanpage BUV Career Services. The opportunities are:
- From actual needs of employers
- Full-time, part-time, flexible time paid and unpaid work.
- Available for the entire year to adapt to different student groups with different study timelines.
Furthermore, BUV is collaborating with Virtual Internship, Absolute Internship and AIESEC to offer remote and abroad internship opportunities for students with employers from Asia, Europe, America, and so on. BUV students will have a chance to get special offers from BUV partners and sponsors from BUV. Preparation for an Internship
We organise several workshops about CV preparation, interview, job search strategy, professional etiquette every semester, as well as offering 1-1 appointments every week throughout the semester. The topics to be discussed in an appointment vary from the very first step of an internship application process to how to respond professionally to a job offer (accept or refuse).
Support & Guidance throughout an internship
BUV is responsive to any student request for support during their internship and empower students to solve their problems at work, so that each student can make the most from an internship and successfully complete the experience while delivering an ambassador image of BUV students to the labour market. We are staying in touch via email, phone calls, and in-person catch-ups on campus or at the workplace.
Internship Evaluation & Recognition
To get PSG points, students are required to gain an Internship Evaluation Form (IEF) verified and submitted by the internship host. BUV also uses feedback from the IEF to provide prompt support and guidance for student’s future improvement where appropriate.
